1. True or False: A born again believer is just a sinner saved by grace 2. True or False: You are a being made up of three parts 3. True or False: Many Christians receive Christ, but fail to believe and become 4. True or False: Being made new means no further adjustments need to be made 5. True or False: New Years Resolutions are the answer. ANSWERS: 1. False. A born again believer WAS a sinner saved by grace. Now he or she is a new creation, and the core of their being is righteous in Christ. 2. True. You are spirit, soul, and body. It is the spirit that is made new in Christ. Now the soul and body have to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. 3. True. Many accept Jesus and agree with Him on a doctrinal level, but fail to live out what they claim to believe. Therefore they never become children of God (John 1:12). 4. False. Just like correcting the date on a check at the beginning of the new year, we often have to make adjustments to our actions to get in line with the reality that we have become new in Christ. 5. False. I recommend New Year Reminders instead of resolutions. Remind yourself often the truths about God's love, and who you are in Christ. Remind yourself that you are no ordinary person in Him. You are a new creature!
